About Mustang 101
The Mustang has been an American icon since 1964,
whenever you see one you most likely think of the American Dream, or something
close to it. This blog is dedicated to the history of all Mustangs, the good and
the bad. Any thing you might want to know about this American Iron will most
likely be covered here. We will begin in 1964 when the first Mustang rolled off the product line. What I hope to accomplish with this blog is to educate those who seek more knowledge on this legendary vehicle. It changed the world in the way we all look at sports cars, and even became the benchmark for the competitors, and the sports cars to come. Not only will we talk about the history of this car, but we will go over the different ways to modify them. Simple things like wheels and tires, to interior, to pulling all of those ponys out of the engine. There will be links to pages that can help you diagnose any issue you might have with your current Mustang. Personally I love these cars. At 17 my father took me up to Coldwater, MI to check out what was soon to be my first Mustang. I remember getting in for the test drive and my dad saying, "now dont tear up this guys car." Two minutes later it was his turn to drive, the very first thing he did was a big "burnout." All he had to say was "what thats how your gonna drive it," from that moment on my love for Mustangs has never faded. Which is why I'm writing this blog, hopefully I can teach readers a few new things, and maybe learn something myself!
My dad owns a 1970 Chevelle SS. I know that's a different manufacturer, but I know what you're talking about with your dad and doing burnouts. (I believe there are permanent burn out marks in my drive way from my dad). I know a little about old cars, but I'm not a complete gear-head, yet. I look forward to hearing more knowledge on Mustangs and the stories you have about them.
